Our History
Our journey begins
Our journey began in August 2024, when our owners, Sam and Kirsty, got the keys for our beautiful building.
The goal was to hold our grand opening on the day of the Belper Food Festival, so we only had 5 weeks to create the bar you know and love today!
During these 5 weeks, the pre-existing bars were ripped out and re-done, the original bank vault was repurposed into our wine cellar (this space may become a new feature for our wine tasting sessions in the future), and a whole new kitchen was installed.

The Soft Launch & Grand Opening
The day before opening, we held a soft-launch party in the new and improved bar. Guests included every person who contributed to the renovations, Sam & Kirsty’s closest friends & family, and four lucky competition winners.
The night was a great success, and set a strong foundation for the official grand-opening the next day!
